In Bali, you can find many beautiful white sandy beaches. Some are famous for surfing sites like Kuta, best sunrise like Sanur, best sunset like Seminyak and best for marine tourism like Tanjung Benoa. Tanjung Benoa is a place in Bali that you must visit during your holiday in Bali island to enjoy many kinds of marine activities on the white sandy beach. The location that is near all tourism objects in South Bali, make Tanjung Benoa always full with tourists who do water sports like sea walking, banana boat, snorkeling, scuba diving, jet ski, water ski, parasailing and many other. In Tanjung Benoa you can also sail to the turtle island for an education. This is the conservation island for turtles, snakes, and Jalak Bali (Balinese starlings), the Balinese rare bird who is protected by the Government.
Tanjung Benoa is only about 35 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport or about 20 minutes via shortcut (Bali Mandara Toll). If you stay in Kuta, Legian, Seminyak or Canggu , you need to drive to the South about 45 minutes and about 60 minutes from Ubud central. You can enjoy all water sports activities in Tanjung Benoa in one day, or combine your tour by visiting other interesting places in South Bali like GWK cultural park, Pandawa Beach, Pasifika Museum, Uluwatu Temple, Water Blow and others.
If you stay in North Bali like Lovina, East Bali Like Amed or Tulamben, it is not recommended to visit Tanjung Benoa for only doing water sports, because from that location, it will take more than 3 hours in one way, so will be wasting most of your time. There are also water sports sites in North Bali and East Bali, or you can make a plan to stay some days in South Bali to visit Tanjung Benoa.

Most of the marine activities in Tanjung Benoa is dependent on sea levels. On high tide, usually in full moon, good time for water sports start from 9 am until 4 pm. On low tide, usually in the dead moon, good time for water sports starts from 11 am until afternoon. Almost all of the water sports companies in Tanjung Benoa open every day from 8 am until 4 pm (last reservation is 3 pm), so we recommended to come between 10 am until 2 pm.
